Rudy Giuliani has filed for bankruptcy, days after being ordered to pay $148 million in a defamation lawsuit brought by two former election workers in Georgia who said his targeting of them led to death threats that made them fear for their lives.
In his filing Thursday, the former New York City mayor listed nearly $153 million in existing or potential debts, including close to a million dollars in tax liabilities, money he owes his lawyers and many millions of dollars in potential legal judgements in lawsuits against him. He estimated his assets to be between $1 million and $10 million.
The biggest debt is the $148 million he was ordered to pay a week ago for making false statements about the election workers in Georgia stemming from the 2020 presidential contest.

There you go misrepresenting things again.
There was an order that Guiliani had to pay up immediately.
That order forced Guiliani to declare bankruptcy.
There’s no way to get finances back to the same way they were at the judgement, if he is forced to liquidate everything immediately, and there is an appeal later in time...
Is he really going to end up broke? Isn’t this to avoid payment?
The plaintiffs likely know they will never collect anywhere near the ruling. They would be wise to work out a settlement.
Rudy will be ok. He still has plenty of ways to make money. Speaking engagements alone could make a nice living for America’s Mayor. Many people will always remember what all he did for us during the 9/11 tragedy. This is all just an attempt to deter anyone else from working with Trump.
I actually do know what I’m talking about having been married to a bankruptcy attorney for over 30 years who has many cases as large as Rudy Giuliani, I’m no attorney but watching one operate for 30 years you learn something besides being a keyboard warrior
I never said his finances would go back to normal what I said was depending on what Chapter bankruptcy he filed after all the procedures were done he would have nothing and could go on with his life without all the debt
Are we going to allow these two corrupt individuals to cause a good man to be bankrupt?
This is NOT justice. Take a good look at those women.
Criminals who aren’t worth a plugged nickle win $148 million dollar judgement against honest man.
