Here’s why. Many working-class liberals are just poorly informed. They are not fascists. They can be reached with gentle persuasion. Reagan was quite successful in that regard. And to a lesser extent, so was Trump.
You can’t reason with a fascist. Don’t even try. All you can do is fight back as hard as you can. But you can often reason with a person who is simply out of touch with what’s really going on.
The battle is cultural, one by one. Just passing “conservative” laws won’t change anything. It is going to take a generation to turn things around.
You can count the number of real fascists on one hand.
If anything, the so-called “Anti-Fascists” are more Fascist than anyone.
