I hear this from everyone, and forget my Catholic friends. They want a saint.
They say Trump needs to be perfect.
I attempt- “his job is to protect and defend the constitution”. Nope. I try, “we’re there any perfect presidents” crickets
What IS this phenomenon. And no appreciation for how Trump defends and protects the constitution. Like no one before him. Certainly no one running against him
Actually, still in our culture, Jesus is separate when talking about humans being perfect. Jesus was human, but much more than human.
