Wanamakers had THE best restaurant on Fifth, back in the day. It looked like you were inside of a circus tent and they often had circus acts there, to entertain the children, while they ate lunch.

Lord &Taylor's had a very nice "ladies' tea roomish restaurant, in shades of pink, and B. Altman's restaurant was rather shades of the old deep south, with the wall murals and the food was very nice!

Warm up the Tardis and lets go! :-)
