Well Iran said that they and Hezbollah were not going to join the war, and Hamas should stop asking for them to do so.
Could be a ploy, but I doubt it. It’s not what their extremist supporters want to hear.
Yes I remember Iran saying that in the beginning and they have some control over Hezbollah. Basically the Saudis bribed Iran and offered them a very substantial investment (over $500 million) in their country on the condition they remain out of it. (The Saudis and Iran have patch things up to some extent after China helped them work things out.) Iran also fears their oil infrastructure could be taken out. I’m more worried about Hezbollah ignoring Iran and entering anyway. Hezbollah has already taken out Israeli surveillance systems and listening posts on Israel’s northern border, and they took out an Israeli army barracks with a burkan missile.
