It’s a shame. The most beautiful of the lower 48 states. The state that wifey and I were going to spend every summer after retiring.
They aren’t moving because of “partisanship.” I didn’t leave Portland for Montana last year for any other reason than it was becoming unlivable because of how the people there vote, not because I am a Republican.
It really is beautiful. My dad was stationed there (Whidbey Island in Puget Sound) when I was in early elementary school. I have very nice memories of us kids running around in the woods, exploring, building forts, splashing around the shores of Cranberry Lake, catching tadpoles…such a pretty place.
Seattle, where we’d go via ferry every month or six weeks for a day or weekend was even nice back then.
As usual, liberals ruin everything.
Central and Eastern Washington are still good.
