Approximately seven mortar rounds landed in the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad during an attack early on Friday, a U.S. military official told Reuters, in what appeared to be the largest attack of its kind in recent memory.
U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria were also targeted with rockets and drones at least five more times on Friday; three times at separate bases in Syria, and twice at the Ain al-Asad airbase west of Baghdad, a U.S. defense official said.
The attacks were the most recorded against U.S. forces in the region in a single day since mid-October, when Iran-aligned militias started targeting U.S. assets in Iraq and Syria over Washington's backing of Israel in its war against Hamas in Gaza.
The embassy attack marked the first time it had been fired on in more than a year, apparently widening the range of targets. Dozens of military bases housing U.S. forces have been attacked, increasing fears of a broadening regional conflict.

Watch for 6 bys headed toward the gates at high rate of speed.
The Pentagon is thinking about a response as we speak.
Biden is racking up one first after another...
* Most single-day illegal border crossers / invaders in the nation’s history
* Gave our enemies the most expensive military airbase outside the USA and most expensive embassy ever
* Most attacks on our embassy in Iraq
So little time, so many firsts. Atta boy, Joey. Keep up the good work.
Ragheads causing a distraction or testing the perimeter.
Check your gear gentlemen.
Lies. All lies. Not one single mortar has been fired by the Iranian backed, Corn-Pop Rebels.
Thanks for posting.
We need to put up some drones.
Both Syria and Iraq want our troops out. Currently they are sitting ducks acting as a tripwire. I’d prefer they just bring them home but that ain’t gonna happen. I suppose they’re there to discourage Iran from getting into the mix.
So they attacked US embassy, I guess that means the Obama/Biden admin will be sending them some more billions.
I sure hope the Trannies had their depends on. The NO response to the mortars explains everything.
It’s pretty nice. Indoor and outdoor pools, a night club, several DFACs, Annex II has 24/7 meal-to-go service, concrete buildings, ballistic windows, a small Hadji-Mart, PX, Class-6 etc. Not bad at all really. And phenomenal chow. Very safe w/Marines stationed in every building (supposedly).
Mortars and rocket fire are great for State Dept. stipulated pay lifts. Hazard duty pay, hardship pay etc. can lift a 80K salary over 120K. Then add in the 60 or 84 hr weeks they stipulate to reduce personnel needed to staff the place and you’re looking at nearly 200 a year. But of course you can’t spend it if you’re dead. And the separation sucks too.
I guess President Retard will bomb some more tents in retaliation
Representatives of the host country cannot enter an embassy without permission.
An attack on an embassy is considered an attack on the country it represents.

“what difference does it make?”
I spent a fun filled year at the old embassy while this one was being built. I can confirm that dodging rockets and mortars is not fun. They used Chinese 107 mm rockets a lot. They are good there, unless they launch larger munitions.
These times are challenging and will continue to get more so going forward, I suggest prayer.
Praying is a good idea. Thanks.
It seems like I’ve heard that this was the largest (US?) embassy in the world. I’m sure it had a bullseye painted on it since day one.
Time to hunt down hadji.
