EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A Florida motorist accused of firing shots at an East Providence home before leading officers on a wild pursuit in Rhode Island last week appeared in court Monday.
More than 1,000 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the black Nissan Armada, and several guns were also found in a backpack discarded along the chase route, according to police.
Law enforcement officials brought more than 100 counts against Joshua Pavao, 43, with a last known address in Kissimmee.
It looks like 3 9mm pistols of some kind, but not a round of pistol ammo is visible
The rifle is an air rifle. It won't shoot any ammo that is there.
So what do we have?
1,000 round of surplus ammo. One in center looks like 7.62x39, the stuff AK-47 and SKS shoot.
A bunch of magazines of unknown type.
Not sure about shooting into a house and the police pursuit, but the ammo is nothing burger.
Day two of the Hard Bargain fire that almost got my house firefighters were working hot spots around my shop area. I told the lead guy “The local Fire Chief knows but in case they didn’t tell you I have a thousand pounds of 5.56 and 308 in my shop.”
“Oh, a thousand rounds is nothing...”
“No, I said a thousand POUNDS”
He just looked at me and shook his head. Two of the deputies and one fireman agreed they would join me here on Hard Bargain Mountain if/when the SHTF.
I believe you have arrived at balance point.
When you go by weight instead of counting my good man.
Arms sale gone wrong?
I like the color fade on that one row of magazines. Very stylish!
It was the headline that I responded to, for at first I thought it meant the Florida Motorist Accused of Firing at Rhode Island Home was Stopped by Over 1,000 Rounds of Ammo 12/6/2023, 1:38:25 PM · 21 of 25
Titles often suck.
This article show lack of knowledge of writer, but I am not sure about “accused of shooting into house” that one could be a problem.
Then running from the law, is pure stupid, unless you are a doper.
What he has in his possession is junk largely. But he may have been stealing firearm related stuff.
The article does not tell us much real facts.
That’s one day on the range for me.
Says he was a Florida man. However, his name is Portuguese and a lot of Portuguese live in Rhode Island. Family feud.
Joshua Pavao
Jousha — so he is a Jew, then???
Somewhere there has to be a class in ammo arrangement for police department publicity photographs.

Well, Yes.
I am still laughing.
cops love that
One of the best Soprano episodes was when Tony went to Providence to farm out a hit to some old time Italian mob guys. The point that these really old, sick guys still ran a crew with a rep. On the way back to NJ, they stopped at the Pequot or Mohegan casino. I was there a few times. The smoke was so thick in there, ya would think that you were in a hooka lounge. Cough.
FYI—Foxwoods and Mohegan banned indoor smoking after Covid—they were one of the few places in the state where you could smoke indoors.
They lost my business over that—I am a cigar smoker.
The numbers I saw was that 25% of gamblers smoke and they contribute a third of the casino’s take—so they took a big hit over that policy change.
Their casino, their call.
Strongly agree.
The possibility of someone having sufficient ammo does not begin until one requires a forklift to move it.
