He might have been in PC since the guy who stabbed him was an ex gang member. A high profile inmate like Chauvin would usually have little contact with other inmates. Prisons have a problem because they have to protect gang members who leave their gang. The ex gang members don't play nice with the rapist and child molesters who live in PC.
