It was BH that owns the railroad that moves most of the oil from the center of the country. It would be cheaper to move it via pipeline, but he and Buffet talked their lib buddies (and Biden) to oppose the pipelines.
They made millions that add to the price of oil over the past couple of years.
I appreciate the money and power he wielded. But it seems when you become a billionaire you forget about the guy pumping gas into his car.
Steve Bannon played a CNBC clip where the woman asked Charlie if all the mounting debt the government was accumulating would ever actually mean anything. I’m not sure when the clip was recorded. But his answer was pretty amazing. He said and I’m paraphrasing, Of course it means something. It’s all going to collapse someday. America isn’t going to last forever. No empire does. Rome is gone and so is the British Empire. It’s like your own death. You know it’s going to happen but there’s no sense dwelling on it.
That to me is about as anti MAGA as you can get.
“College Dropout dies...”
Well, it could be the time when he praised the CPP's economic system, and applauded them for disappearing Jack Ma for his work on the Ant Group's banking services:
"I don't want the, all of the Chinese system, but I certainly would like to have the financial part of it in my own country."
"Communists did the right thing. They just called in Jack Ma and say, "You aren't gonna do it, sonny," Munger said.
Or, it could be his praise of China's lockdowns.
"They simply shut down the country for six weeks. And that turned out to be exactly the right thing to do," Munger said.
And that's just recent news.
It could be his close friendship with pedophile and Deep State stooge Bill Gates. Gates hired Munger's law firm to handle his divorce, even though they don't specialize in divorce.
More generally, it could be a lifetime of profiting off of junk food, sugar water (soda), and rent-seeking banks who defraud their customers who are then bailed out by the government.
On the subject of sugar water, here's a whole essay he wrote that describes how to push aside the water supply in poor countries to get them to drink more Coke and other junk. He gets rich, and poor people get diabetes:
Practical Thought about Practical Thought: Turning $2 Million Into $2 Trillion
He's then declared a genius by gurgling platitudes like "Don't spend more than you make."
I can't think of better monuments to the corrupt monetary system of the west than Munger and Buffet.
Good riddance.
Two college dropouts on that stage.
It’s possible to go far in the United States of America without a college degree.
