They need to just build a road across the Darién Gap, and get it over with, and in so doing, FINALLY complete the Pan-American Highway.
For all the environmentalist arguments against it, having watched the recent videos from Bald & Bankrupt of his hiking across it, and seeing the sheer levels of filth, misery and squalour, I would say that when it comes to keeping the area “environmentally pristine”, that ship has long, LONG sailed. Indeed, I think at this point in time, a road with HELP more than it will harm.

Panama doesn’t need this road. To the contrary they rather like keeping the hordes of Venezuelan, Brazilian, and Bolivian socialist refugees out of Panama.
