Yep. And his advisors had to step in and tell him to knock off the gun ban talk if he wanted to get re-elected.

He'll have no such constraints in 2024. After all, Trump has always been an old-fashioned New York liberal. He just figured out how to ride a populist/nationalist platform to victory.
