“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: Hebrews 12:28 (King James Version)
When Reagan visited Moscow, he related a story of how one of his people would go for his morning walk across Red Square. Every morning at the break of dawn he would go for his walk and see a hundred men sweeping the square even though it was already clean. Reagan related it to Gorbachev and said you know you can get a machine to do that at a fraction of the cost and Gorbachev looked at him and said, what would we do with the sweepers?
The Dinosaur Media and their puppet masters are becoming hysterical of the revolution which is happening around the world against the Worldwide Communist Party. All of the billionaires and their partners in gummit are worried their virtual world is falling apart while the real world is turning into the Biden Trainwreckonomy. When you have 35,000,000,000 deficits snowballing into fifty trillion there is nowhere to build an economy.
While the Three Pillars of Virtual Reality (Academia, Media, and the DNC) are selling a world of gumdrops and rose petals the real world has $70 tanks of gas every week and eight percent loans on half million-dollar starter homes. How are young people ever going to rent an apartment let alone buy a first home? This generation has stolen the next two generations’ lives to be left giving the gummit half or more of their checks leaving nothing to pay their bills.
The Three Pillars have used Wokeism and Pagan Eart worship as smoke and mirrors while spending their future earnings on everything from airplanes to sex change operations. They sold them on Electric Cars and transexual victims as well as raising the cost of education while cratering the results so the kids coming out cannot read or write let alone think or create.
Long gone are the days of coming out of school ready for the world let alone starting a career, they are too busy raising angry Communist activists to build anything useful. Communists do not build anything and are only good at two things, solving imaginary problems and destroying. Communist Russia and the Soviet Union were massive failures on every level and Communist China never would have survived if not for America making money off of their slave wages.
They took over Russian and China promising free healthcare, good jobs, and good schools. They eliminated all the Christian and religious schools and churches so there would only be gummit education and welfare. They then outlawed the Bible and installed evolution and secular humanism with the gummit as the final arbitrator of right and wrong as the Party became stronger and bigger.
Centralized planning became a massive failure as pols decided the supply and demand rather than the free market and usually guessing wrong as they paid bribes to local officials to maintain the obedience of the countryside. The Mao revolution produced massive starvation as did the famines of Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
No matter how many times it fails the same power mad people push the same formulas to convince the people they can solve their imaginary problems while failing miserably with the real problems. They do not allow any discussion of their disastrous financial and economic programs since they are extremely tolerant of everyone they agree with although not so much of the ones they do not. Communist Parties are famous for trying and jailing their opponents with false and made-up charges in front of packed courtrooms which give you zero chance of a fair trial.
This formula has been repeated around the free world to the point of every country being some type of Communist Dictatorship hidden behind a democratic form of gummit. In America both Parties believe Gummit is a fairer method of distributing the wealth as one supports the Military Industrial Complex and the other is more directed as Socialized distribution. Both lead to massive inefficiencies and corruption as bureaucrats decide supply and demand while skimming millions off the top.
What is the difference between this system and China’s when it comes to enslaving its citizens?
Freedom is a messy system with minimal control over the people by the gummit. It is much easier for the gummit to control the people and eliminate their freedoms from their standpoint, but it comes with a cost. If the people are not being rewarded financially then there is no motivation to work or get ahead. In addition to the lack of motivation by State employees to maximize their time and encourage slackers makes for a very ineffective economy and massive losses which America is experiencing today.
You could bet if you went to one of these departments and told them you could do the same work with half the workers, they would look at you and ask, what would you do with the workers?
Pray for God’s mercy on America

Well said...
National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan4 saturating the airwaves today. Hmmmm...Antisemitic rallies aplenty across the US. Yesterday's Hamas hostage release included four Thai citizens. Possibly one U.S. citizen will be released today. No word whether this is the young girl who turned 4 years old Friday.
Seen this one?
LOL!
That works okay, if you don't buy luxuries such as food or gas, or you don't pay real estate taxes or rent. I wonder where the calculators do their shopping.
As far as I am concerned, that 3.2% increase is a political calculation, intended to fortify the current administration's claim that the economy is doing well and that inflation is under control. And I trust the calculators about as much as I trust the government's claim about COVID, weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, Comet Kohotek, and so the list goes on.
Love it or hate it, the SS Benefit is part of a long-term contract with America for Americans who spend a lifetime paying into the system and are supposed to get enough to live on in old age. I get almost the maximum benefit because I maxed out earnings for more than 10 years, and I started collecting at age 67 instead of waiting until 70 to collect.
But my wife did not max out earnings, and I have to wonder how one person getting that level of benefits can survive with dignity. We have other income sources so we can continue to tell ourselves that we are comfortable, but I am also working a part-time job to pay for prescription medications and dinner out every Friday. (And that dinner out used to be 20-25 bucks a few years ago; now it's 35-40.)
Every time I see the local or national news, there is at least one story about some large sanctuary city spending money on luxury hotels for illegals, or converting an abandoned grocery store into a new shelter because the city has illegals sleeping in police stations or ..... In the meantime, Americans who kept their side of the bargain are getting shortchanged so politicians and true believers can keep their expensive hobby.
Ah, it goes on. And I am preaching to the choir here, I know. I just needed to vent.

Social Security was NEVER intended to be the sole source of retirement income for older folks. It was always intended to supplement income.
I wish I had been able to use those assets on my own…but instead we have to get lower than market returns on a huge portion of our saved income.
I started getting social security as soon as I could. I’d rather get some now then more later—IF—the system survives.

SS was never meant to be one’s sole source of retirement income. I know it is for many however. Except for the eating out Friday thing our situation is close to yours.
For sure the sooner we get rid of the commies in control the better.!!
Last year’s SSA COLA boost was a “generous” 8%+ and they sought to limit it going further. They didn’t have the money to pay for it then, and don’t now either.
Inflation was a bit worse last year, so the 8% came close to reality.
Something’s got to give. There is room for entitlement reductions via retirement age, some means testing, but the money to repay us for this ponzi scheme should and can come from a massive govt. reduction.
Actuarial tables from way back indicated we’d all be dead, gone, and not collecting SS checks by now.
It makes one wonder if gubmint didn’t mind COVID killing so many seniors.
sean duffy is good but no Maria.
im gonna do my usual.
Our little S-corp was peaking at about age 65, so we could afford to wait til age 70, which is paying off comfortably now.
I now await some sort of crash.
