I’ve found this translation to work: “trans” = fake

transwoman = fake woman
transman = fake man

In both cases, extreme mental illness is involved.

The easiest explanation I heard of how to keep it straight is when they say *trans woman* just substitute *fake* for the word *trans* and hence you can figure that a *trans woman* is a fake woman, ie a man.
