“But the fact you and I didn’t know about “International Men’s Day”
I don’t care that I didn’t know there was an International Men’s Day. What depresses me is that I have to know that February is black people’s month, and June is homosexual people’s month, because it’s not possible to avoid knowing it.
It bugs me that Memorial Day is...a day, but the “celebrations” of black history and homosexuality are observed for a month.
I was referring to to the bent of the education, media, and government spaces all working in concert to push “Women’s Day” and things like LGBTQ Month.
