Apparently Fox had some legal handcuffs on Carlson. Whether the deep state had some blackmail material on McCarthy, or he was just politically squishy by nature, I don't know.

Johnson seems to be holding up fairly well, but I expect some posters here to attack him eventually. He has a tiny majority (sometimes) in one house of congress.

Its going to be a tough slog for Johnson, even if he picks up more R seats next year. The problem is the Republican Party is weak and feckless so their “majorities” are always tenuous.

I do like his overall direction so far and wish him well but the spending is so far out of control its unlikely he’ll be able to do much about it.
