I always think of the scene where Thulsa Doom is lecturing Conan about “what is power.” Thulsa use to think steel was power. But as he conquered more and grew more powerful he realized real power is the power to people. These very rich people have everything they could ever want. BUT, they are empty people and the only things that brings them any sense of accomplishment is controlling and manipulating people like puppets.
