Cheese! This hits the French where it hurts! Also, wood is biodegradable.

“She said: ‘Light wood packaging accounts for 0.001 per cent of household packaging waste.”
Since it is such a small amount, why bother banning ot recycling.
To: Red Badger
Well, it IS a little runny.

Wood is one the most earth-friendly packaging materials you can use. It can be used as firewood, a repair material, craft supply, etc. I’ve encountered wood from old packing crates used in home repair, components of chest of drawers, etc.

Whether it’s a good idea or a bad idea, this is an illustration of bureaucratic one-size-fits-all top down “rule making” by un-elected people who live hundreds or thousands of miles away.
These are not “rules”. They are de facto laws, and failure to comply will result in all manner of sanctions if not jail.
They can’t call these “rules” or “guidelines” or “policies”. People need to understand that. And nobody voted to do this. If they did, it would fail. “Leave our cheese wheels alone”.

I just received a piece of custom trim for a ceramic cooktop. Existing hole in the island is too big. It came in a box with wood edge supports, I’m using the wood for blocking in the hole.

Since when is wood not recyclable? I suppose it's how you define "recyclable". I recycled some last night in the wood stove. Kept me warm. If the Earth does burst into a flaming apocalypse, well, sorry, my bad.
To: Billthedrill
Yes. You can make heat with it, or turn it into mulch. Wood naturally composts every day in forests, yards, etc.

ne-size-fits-all top down “rule making” by un-elected people who live hundreds or thousands of miles away. It's not just that they're hundreds or thousands of miles away. They're also catastrophically ignorant of the things for which they're making rules.
