In a way, I get it. The aunt who says “no” to a nephew demanding candy isn’t much liked. But every kid likes the aunt who gives them all the sweets they want.
Agreed, FRiend, and they don’t even write a budget. That ended in 2009. The House just ignores that job now no matter which party is in power. The short-cut way allows for a lot more chicanery, they’ll probably never write another budget.
