No, this isn’t The Bee!

They’re just doing what New York has already done - basic skills tests are RACIST:

“Teachers in New York City successfully sued the city over their failure to pass a basic literacy exam, arguing the disparity in pass rates between Black, Latino and White test-takers proves a bias. A judge found that the test violated the Civil Rights Act, because it did not show a meaningful correlation between a teacher’s performance on the test and their performance in the classroom.”

Got that? Your child’s teacher doesn’t need to have basic literacy - or math skills - to teach YOUR child those very same skills.

Teachers are no longer capable of teaching basic skills. Sounds to me like they have failed in their jobs. The solution though is NOT to ensure that kids grow more “basic skills ignorant” than they are now by lowering the requirements further!

"No, this isn’t The Bee!"

When I read the title, my first thought was; "for the kids, or for the teachers".(Joe Brandon, "No joke")

Madness.

I' not so sure. I have a feeling that the Basic Skills Test for teachers has nothing to do with the three 'Rs' and everything to do with DEI.

Something to contemplate....

This is why all Public Employee’s should be mandated to send their children to the public school system or face Felony Prosecution and have the Children put in foster care to receive a proper public school education.

Good! Next will be elimination of basic skills for students. Now the inmates are now running the asylum. We are being Governed by criminals. And the children will be taught by fools and idiots. What can go wrong from that?
