He's made a bunch of stupid moves (another subject) but he's right on abortion. He didn't want to talk about it and I think that's the way to go.
Every Republican should stop talking about abortion. We got rid of Roe vs Wade. Call it a win. Leave it in the states. Let the Democrats legalize it in every state. And leave the abortion issue alone.

The pro-life movement needs to change its message.
Pro-abort messaging of today states women are losing their right to abort their unborn child.
The new pro-life messaging needs to be about providing the unborn w their constitutionally guaranteed human right to exist.
History, as framed today, states the Civil War was fought to end slavery, but in fact, the majority of those joining the Union Army did so as Christians with the intent of providing slaves their constitutionally guaranteed God Given human rights.
This analogy to slavery is a winner.
This augment does not fall into the trap of denying women a right.
This augment is an affirmation of the unborn’ constitutionally guaranteed human right to be born.

John Roberts was right, politically. It would have been better for the court to do a narrow decision, slightly rolling back abortion rights. Give time for states to adjust.
