WRONGO, me bucko! Straight paper ballots ONLY on election day is still the most secure and least corruptible method.
Motor voter and the like are exactly what the problem is. The only folks who should absentee vote are the military, and early voting should only be for those who can prove they will unavoidably out of area.
A paper ballot being retained by the precinct is a method of performing an audit that removes any possibility of identifying the voter. Having TWO carbons (one for the voter, one for the precinct, with the original going into the ballot box) is another way to secure the vote.
All it takes is a little determination, but the *R* party has always lay down to be trod upon, and we cannot expect anything different.
