Does this include a Starbucks brand coffee/vending machine?

I suspect so - the big plans that Coca-Cola had for challenging Starbucks through their pre-COVID purchase of Costa Coffee seem to have shifted to a vending machine based market presence. Starbucks will have to counter that, at least in some areas.

Coca-Cola is already a big player in Japan's canned coffee vending machine business.

In the near distant future due to some type of weird entropy, they will reach a state where they will open Starbucks in other Starbucks to infinity causing all matter to collapse. And then it’s game over.

Wonder if they’re planning on putting them in the small rural, country towns. The ones that the liberals are invading all over the place thanks to remote work and the fact that those same liberals have destroyed the cities.

Wife was transferred to Reno for three years, we lived downtown and everything was in walking distance. The Starbucks by us closed down without notice. After a couple weeks went by there was groundbreaking for a new, bigger Starbucks. Right across I-80 there was another crazy busy Starbucks, the two stores were right off the exits opposite each other.

That sounds like an Escher drawing done from a modern setting. Well, maybe Escher and Salvador Dali.
It would be a surreal experience, for sure.

Just 17,000 more stores to avoid.

Whatever happened to the automatic timer coffee maker that has the coffee ready when you wake up? It’s better tasting than that nasty burnt crap Starpukes sells.

It’s kinda funny watching people speed into these places nearly causing accidents just to get in line at the drive up to get their coffee. They risk being late for work, look like fools rushing around and are a safety hazard.

Coffee by the cup has a very profitable markup.

Folgers is what I grew up on and I think at about 4 or 5 cents a cup I will stick with it.

A 3 pound can of Folgers lasts me about 2 or 3 weeks.

Back when I actually had to work for a living I got to fire a piss poor employee who could never get to work on time.

He was always 5 to 10 minutes late for work, counselled him 3 or 4 times, gave him 3 write ups, followed company policy to the letter, THEN FIRED HIM!

His excuse was always the same “I had to wait in line for my Starbucks coffee”; his excuse didn’t work for me.

In 2008 I had a Starbuck's habit. Iced green tea latte with whole milk. My weight went to 208 lbs. Starbucks dumped the melon syrup used as sweetener. The replacement was awful. I headed to San Diego where I could still find work. The company cafeteria had a simple "Americano". Unsweetened, black drip coffee. Inside of a few months, I was down to 192 lbs by dodging the high calorie latte. The cafeteria was decommissioned and I substituted sugar free Rockstar purchased by the palette at Sam's Club. No more money wasted at Starbuck's. My lunch also got hammered by a change in the chocolate/almond/raisin Zone bars. Pure whey powder was eliminated in favor of powdered milk (full of lactose). I can't tolerate lactose. I switched to another bar that was lower calorie.

A few months went by and I stepped on the scale at 146 lbs. The only substantial change was ditching Starbucks for sugar free Rockstar and a lower calorie protein bar. That was 2017. I'm still at 155 lbs and avoiding the sweetened milk sold at Starbucks.

Are they gonna finally put some desperately needed Starbucks in America’s food deserts at last?

No, they will be building more stores in suburban locations and expanding overseas.

There are untapped markets in Asia.

Panera Bread is better...Free Refills. My 14 year old daughter goes to Panera to have a bagel and coffee while doing her schoolwork. The Panera was remodeled to have more outlets in it.

Tampa has a few great coffee places...Buddy Brew and Blind Tiger are two.

I bought a cup of coffee at Starbuck’s once. It was grossly overpriced and tasted terrible. I’ve never been back. I see long lines at airports in front of the Starbuck’s and can’t imagine the reasons why. There are even some long lines while they are still closed. It must be a cult.

There’s a local Honda dealership that has free Starbucks about 20 minutes away from me where I get most of my oil changes done because they usually send me coupons. I don’t go because of the free Starbucks but the dealership a half a mile from me ( which has just regular coffee ) doesn’t have coupons anymore. The Starbucks coffee isn’t that bad for “free.”

That’s the norm for many in today’s workforce.

We had a neighbor lady that was a supervisor at a restaurant. She had to be at work by 8 AM. 8 AM is when she left her home to go to work and was consistently late. My wife was a cook there and was paid higher than this supervisor. The supervisor couldn’t figure out why. She was eventually canned.

This was an oil boom town. A trucking company gave a monthly $500 bonus for each driver that consistently showed up for work on time.

There are some in Vietnam, but they are too expensive.

The local shops are much better.

Though it is (much) cheaper to make at home...
