Just watched a neflix show on the two lovers accused of killing the girl’s parents in VA in the 1980s. He was freed based largely on DNA evidence (absence thereof). This happens way too much in law enforcement.

And how do you pay for insurance? And what happens to your insurance rate when a $9 million claim goes against you?
One way or the other the money is coming from tax payers.

"I wonder how much the IRS is going to take." At least 36% plus the 30% or so that goes to the attorneys, leaving the wrongfully accused with about $3 million. Seems a bit light for losing 30 years of your life to a wrongful conviction.
