Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) are pushing legislation to require background checks for ammunition purchases.
They are joined by other Democrats, including Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL).
The Democrats are pushing the Ammunition Modernization and Monitoring Oversight Act, or AMMO Act for short. In addition to requiring background checks for ammo purchases, Redstate noted the Act would also limit the number of rounds law-abiding citizens can buy over a five-day period and mandate that ammo dealers get a license separate from the Federal Firearms License (FFL) required for gun sales.

The border is being overwhelmed with terrorists, military aged men from over 100 countries and hundreds of diseases that were irradicated years ago. And these numbskulls are wanting to clamp down on American citizen’s ammo purchases.

Bearing of ARMS— the “ARMS” are not defined whatsoever— swords, clubs, Bowie knives, muskets, rifles, pistols and almost anything could be banned as “Arms”.
To that extent the Right of Self Defense by an “Arm” is protected Right, supported by the need for a “Well Regulated “ militia. Regulation in language of the Founders meant well maintained Arms and well trained in the use of them by the Militia- which is All of the People (Citizens in particular).
