I read somewhere the US and PI are in talks about allowing a limited number of warships back into Subic. I think those talks were successful for allowing some US ships to berth there. Unfortunately, much of the base has been converted for other uses.

Probably one of the most stupid and near-sighted moves a US ally ever did. I figured when they kicked us out over lease negotiations, sooner or later they would want us back because of China's growing influence and increasing military might.

I'm still curious why China hasn't made a move on Taiwan with our weak senile doddering old fool of a president. Plus, Biteme's obsession with the Ukraine and the growing conflict in the Middle East would seem to be the perfect distraction for China to reclaim Taiwan.

Maybe someone more informed can explain China's reluctance to hit Taiwan, which I pray doesn't happen.
