Cardinals are beautiful red birds. Cardinals are also mostly old white men in the Catholic hierarchy. So I guess we’ve got to rename cardinals.
Either the bird or the Catholic officials. I don’t think it matters which one.
My suggestion:
If the bird, call them blood birds.
If the Catholic officials, call them super-bishops.
Pretty simple, actually.
As opposed to gay shops or straight shops, or perhaps transgender shops?
I doubt they’ll say they are changing the name of the cardinals because cardinals are old white Catholics. They’ll probably blame it on the Cardinals being a lousy football team.
