Every time the Israelis think that shooting through women and children to get at the Ham Ass terrorists is bad, just think of the women raped and babies cooked in ovens by these savages

Putting humans in that position, to have to shoot at/through women and children to get to the bad guys, will leave a mental break in every soldier that has to face such a horror.
Remembering what the evil people that need killing did to motivate yourself to do the unspeakable will help them do the deed, but those memories will make them suffer for the rest of their lives.
This is an old, but effective tactic.
