Too bad. Could you get a Hoyer lift, maybe? I’m not sure if one person or two is required to operate those? I wish I lived closer to you. I could not lift you, but I so enjoyed caring for my dad’s physical and companionship needs while he was still with us. Some folks just like doing it; I’m one of those. Unfortunately I have handicaps of my own now. These years require courage and good humor, for sure!
Yes we have a hoyer lift. Chris uses it to get me in or out of bed or powerchair etc. The turning I was talking about earlier, was just rolling me over from one side to the other in bed. that’s usually just a one person task, but sometimes two girls would work in a team. Unfortunately, my trunk muscles are also gone, due to muscular dystrophy, so I can’t do it myself.
Prayers up for you too, by the way.
