Using young women, and to a lesser extent, boys or men, in honey-traps has a long, long history in espionage. Thousands of years, I am sure.

With digital technology, it becomes much, much easier and thus, more widespread.

The “man-boy” love co-opting of leaders goes way back, especially in the muslim world, which ironically (or not so ironically) claims vehemently there is no pedo or homo sexuals in..islam. The Iranians scream there isn’t in their country (and they hang or toss them off buildings, males and females)— so that can’t be true. No matter what or where- contrary to Nature w/out regard to religion.

It is because it is effective.

Of all the frailties of human behavior, the easiest one to exploit is sexuality, most especially in men.

Men have disgraced themselves, thrown away their careers, ruined their marriages, emptied their bank accounts, and even betrayed their country, all for just a few minutes of sexual activity.

The fact that the walking human stains named Swalwell and Schiff persisted on the House Intelligence Committee until McCarthy (in one of the things he likely had his arm twisted behind his back to do, took him and Schiff OFF the committee) should be enough to see how deep the rot goes...Swalwell with Fang Fang and Schiff with his homosexual liasions that left young black men dead in motel rooms.
