Israeli should recognize that it can not kill 7,000 Palestinian civilians in bombing Gaza without consequences. 7,000 is a lot of civilian deaths. Just saying.

I lived in Adana, Turkey, for 6 yrs. Unfortunately, the country has changed a lot since I left (1991). Erdogan is responsible for almost all of the bad changes. Israel is stuck in a no win situation. This whole situation has a very prophetic Bible feel about it. Whatever happens could set up an even worse situation where Israel will sign a peace treaty that will lead to what the Bible calls the Time of Jacob’s Trouble. At the very least, the stage is being set for End Time events as many others have observed and commented. Of course, no one knows what will happen, but I personally believe the U.S. will be damaged significantly from our involvement. I think we should side with Israel. I just think things aren’t exactly going to go our way this time. U.S. foreign policy has been so screwed up for so long. We should not have drawn down the military during 91 & 92 - but that’s just one small example.

That’s not how war works. In WWII, the Allies didn’t keep a running tally of civilian deaths caused by Germany, to be used to carefully calibrate a similar number of German deaths to be inflicted in the next bombing raid. No nation is as careful to minimize civilian deaths as is Israel, but this time they need to do what they have to do to eliminate Hamas permanently.
