I was listening to live feeds in Ashdod and it was more intense than any I have heard since the war began on October 7th. Also, I am hearing machine gun fire and small arms fire, which means there is a ground operation proceeding at the moment. Not appreciating the wisdom of announcing just when an attack will begin. Likely to be misinformation to illicit movement from the defenders to understand their strategy. However whenever Netanyahu orders his young , enthusiastic soldiers to begin the invasion in force, they will be facing grueling urban and subterranean combat. Sadly the casualties will be very high and it is doubtful the hostages will be rescued alive. Battle may be most reminiscent of Stalingrad. Pyrrhic victory for Israel?
Godspeed!
