Suspected Maine mass shooter Robert Card is a deer hunter “capable of hiding for a long time if he doesn’t want to be caught,” according to his family’s longtime neighbor.
Card, 40, is the subject of a massive manhunt over a Wednesday night shooting spree that left 18 people dead and 13 others wounded at multiple sites.
Rick Goddard, 44, lives less than a mile down the road from Card’s parents in Bowdoin, where the suspect grew up, and has known the family for decades. “It’s his stomping ground. I mean, he grew up here. He knows the area really well. He’s capable of hiding for a long time if he doesn’t want to be caught. There’s a lot of places you can be in the woods and never be seen,” Goddard told The Post.

Read “The Stranger in the Woods” by Michael Finkel. The story describes how Christopher Knight survived some 27 years in the Maine wilderness.
Again they knew about him and did nothing knowing he would act out
If he’s killing people because his hearing aids tell him they are saying horrible things, how long do you think he will go before killing again?
Might be quite a while if he can’t charge them in the woods...
Maybe Democrats are hiding him. They apparently like mass killers
That may be
wow! Why is he running like he shat his pants? Maybe because he did lol
I’m betting they will spend 3 million dollars searching for him for a month. Then find his decomposed body somewhere after he offed him self.
Remember the Gabby Petito case?

Probably easy to hide when you’re likely already dead in a ditch somewhere.
IR doesn’t work so well on a body that has assumed ambient temperature.
Card may know the woods well, but if he doesn’t have some sort of shelter/provisions pre-planned & stashed out there...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That ‘if’ is the big question... if he did get out of there by water, that definitely shows some pre-planning.... he can be far away by now.
He is a long walk from Canada.
Eric Rudolph lived in the forest of western North Carolina as a fugitive for 5 years before being caught.
Rudolph used to get help and dumpster dived to survive .
In fact he was caught dumpster diving behind a pizzeria.
Murphy’s winter were way milder than Maine.
Bump
The questions will eventually be answered. It took 5 years in the Rudolph case. I just pray Card doesn’t kill anyone else in the meanwhile. It would not surprise me if he suicides.
If that guy is hiding out in the woods they'll find him easy peasy with thermal imaging.
One is inclined to believe he made some sort of getaway, and one believes it possible that he could have possibly been assisted in it by the persons associated with the voices in his head.
Of course, thinking it through, if he was in fact assisted in his getaway, those same persons could have... uh, considered him no longer useful and treated him accordingly. He might never be found.
When I think of being in the woods of Maine, I recall a book I read about a boy who was lost there on Mount Katahdin. It’s a scary place. (But I guess this murderer isn’t actually lost — just hiding.)
It’s a very long way from Bowdoin to the Canada border. Long rough country with very few roads.
