18 dead, 13 wounded in Lewiston shootings as police continue to search for suspected gunman BY JOHN TERHUNESTAFF WRITER
At a press conference Thursday morning, police continued to offer few details about the manhunt for Robert Card of Bowdoin, who is suspected of killing 18 people Wednesday night.
Gov. Janet Mills and law enforcement leaders pledged Thursday morning to capture the Bowdoin man suspected of killing 18 people and wounding 13 in a pair of shootings in Lewiston on Wednesday night, but they again refused to provide specific information about the massive manhunt for the killer.
“We’re in the early stages of this investigation,” Maine State Police Colonel William Ross said at a press conference at Lewiston Town Hall. “We can’t share all of our information right now, and I’m sure you understand that. We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves.”
Six men and one woman were killed at Just-In-Time Recreation, the site of the first shooting, Ross said Thursday. Seven men were killed inside Schemengees Bar & Grille, and another was fatally shot outside the restaurant. Three more victims died after being transferred to local hospitals.

Warnings to shelter-in-place soon expanded from Lewiston to all of Androscoggin County as police hunted for the suspect, who police believe abandoned his car near the Lisbon boat dock on Frost Hill Avenue near Route 196. Police were knocking on doors of nearby homes while helicopters remained in the area Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

I am not a fan of the Portland Press herald, but they are the ones with boots and heels on the ground.
We are cancelling our Portland Republican's Happy Hour tonight because some people are to scared to leave home even down here.
I thought they had the guy already.
I sure wish somebody had fired back.
I doubt this man is even in the same state anymore. He’s no doubt shaved, bought new clothes, and moved on somewhere else.
“I sure wish somebody had fired back.”
Maine isn’t Texas.
I thought they had the guy already.
That is what you get for following bogus news sources.
This is a good link for more information (an interview of a mother and daughter witnesses):

He started at the bowling alley and then drove South very quickly to the bar. Then he traveled further South to Lisbon, Maine. Either he picked up another car there, or possibly had a boat. There are a lot of small bodies of water in those parts.
Here is the bowling alley:
Here is the bar:
It is a big bar by central Maine standards. There must be 20 pool tables there.
So true.
prolly assumed it was Lewiston Idaho, everyone in Idaho is packing heat , concealed carry without a permit is legal
My suspicion is that being an outdoors man, he will work his way North into Canada, grow a full beard, and blend into the Canadian lifestyle.
Just because you hate gateway pundit, it doesn’t mean we all get our information there. I watched their local news channel. You think you can do a better job than gateway, Why don’t you start your own website. They do a pretty good job.
Texas is just as pathetic. Worse. Cops ran away. Cops prevented parents from engaging. Uvalde was a disgrace of epic proportions that the all Texans should be ashamed of themselves over. Mostly because everyone says Texans are all armed. Well - just talk apparently.
Maine is also a permitless carry state, but bar carry where alcohol is served.
Concealed carry without a permit is legal here in Maine, too.
Muy macho, my aunt fanny. Uvalde LE should all be behind bars for the rest of their sorry lives.
According to main law, it is illegal to drink, while possessing a firearm, which is, to my understanding the lawn most states. Also, they specifically site places licensed to serve liquor on site as an area that is generally posted as a gun free zone, but not always, the bowling alley sounds like it was part of a national chain, therefore, likely increasing the chance they posted their premises. Again, this is all just from what I’ve heard from others in my own research/experience time will tell.
Main is constitutional carry as well. However, they do have some, from my understanding/reading, prohibitions, and Cari in certain areas such as schools and also places with a liquor license for on-site consumption, if posted it is not clear if the bowling alley or Barr posted yet.
The way I read it, concealed carry, where alcohol is served, i.e. liquor license for on site consumption is permitted unless it is posted. It could just be a standard thing where most of these places end up posting, even if not required.
“He’s dead, Jim.”
