islam is a religious/political/judicial set of rules based on the supposed word of allah, and one of it's missions is to kill Christians and Jews.

An unbending 7th century set of rules that are believed, 100% by the true mooselimbs.
They want you and me dead, end of discussion.

Anyone who disagrees with you need only ask a modern, sophisticated Muslim to answer three questions:
1. What should happen to anyone who mocks Mohammed?
2. What should happen to anyone who defiles the Koran?
3. What should happen to anyone who leaves the Muslim religion?
An honest Muslim will respond:
1. death
2. death
3. death
This sick, twisted belief system perhaps can be modified. Defanged, if you will. But first it must be confronted. To the contrary, we either ignore it or excuse it away.
We are now in a situation analogous to 1930. Nazism was on the rise. Most folks either ignored it or excused it away. And we all know how that turned out.
