True, but it was the right who supported sending our manufacturing, technology, and money over there. Many at FR supported this over the promise of lower prices and benefits for the consumer.

Well, it's 20 years later. Where are those lower prices they promised us?

Yes.

I visited an American steel factory in about 1972 with a school class.

That place has been shut down since the 1980s.

I drive past it now and then. Some of the buildings are still standing and the railroad tracks are there.

An American industry all but gone (as I understand it).
