Americans overwhelmingly voice sympathy for the Israeli people in the current conflict, and there's widespread support for sending humanitarian aid.
But while a plurality think President Biden has shown the right amount of support for Israel, his approach draws only a mixed response, underpinned by broad public concern about the prospects of a wider war in the region, and terrorism here at home.
Amid that uncertainty, there is broad support for the U.S. engaging in diplomacy to resolve the conflict, but there is a split on whether the U.S. ought to send weapons to Israel...
Americans strongly agree on the U.S. engaging in diplomacy with countries in the region and sending humanitarian aid to Israel; many would also send it to Palestinians.
Mr. Biden's own party, the Democrats, are divided on whether the U.S. ought to send weapons and supplies to Israel, and Republicans show a slight majority in favor of that. Those Democrats who don't think the U.S. ought to are relatively less approving of Mr. Biden's handling of the conflict than Democrats who do.

Well, it’s a wider war NOW, or a wider war LATER! Terrorism won’t stop either way, especially if we wait for them to become better armed and prepared.
Nobody is gonna join Brandon’s military.
I’m not worried about it. There’s going to be wars all the way up to the end.
Israel hasn’t started its vaunted muh ground offensive yet.
“Israel hasn’t started its vaunted muh ground offensive yet.”
No one is “vaunting” it. They know it’s going to be a messy, bloody business. Israel is going to take a huge hit, in casualties, its economy, and it’s world standing. That’s why they’re not rushing in.
If Trump had been President this never would have happened in the first place.
Israel has, they've been hyping this up for past three days now.
They know it’s going to be a messy, bloody business.
Of course, which is why they're waiting for Congress to pass the aid package and the possibilities of U.S. troops - er, excuse me, "advisors" participating.
Israel is going to take a huge hit, in casualties, its economy, and it’s world standing. That’s why they’re not rushing in.
Their citizens were brutally murdered, shouldn't they just go in and kill the terrorists? I mean, what are they waiting for?
Articles that have 4 authors are always suspect. They are always rat friendly and/or denigrate Republicans. Especially from CBS.
That's understandable given Tater Brain's mixed support for Israel-Hamas.
The idiot thinks he can play both sides and all for political support not for any principled position on the conflict.
Opus?
No, I’m just questioning why Israel hasn’t started its ground war yet.
For the same reason we have a usurper in the White House and not a President. The deep state has been in Judah for decades also.
With not a second of military experience between them.
I just saw a dumbass poll saying the Republicans want Israel to conduct a ceasefire. A POS poll from somebody called “Progressive data” or some crappy name like that. ROTFLMAO! Now there’s a credible poll source. The Liberals think Americans are stupid. They may be right.
Also the word “concern” in the title means the article is complete bee ess.
What is Israel waiting for? Have you not noticed the immense pressure they’re under from the Biden administration and others to work with (Hamas ally) Qatar to negotiate the release of hostages, including Americans, before beginning a ground assault? Today it was revealed there are 210 of them. Israeli families also are pressuring Bibi not to go in.
Israel’s best time to strike was immediately after October 7. Each day that passes will make it more difficult to go in.
You’re right. If Trump were President, oil would be cheap, and Iran and Russia would be bankrupt. Instead, we are bankrupt, and the civilized world is under attack.
You’re right. AND Hamas would not have taken on Israel... and Iran would still be in a box or becoming civilized. Trump would have done a much better job. Biden’s such a disaster.
