It is time for a new political party. The Republicans today are the Whigs of yesteryear. If Trump would call for a meeting of patriots of the Republic, and then meet in Ripon, Wisconsin, the Republican Party would be doomed.

Yes, it gave us Buchanan. But it also gave us the Civil War and Lincoln and the resolution to a problem that divided the States. We may be headed toward a new Civil War, but Trump, with all his warts, is the only Lincoln on the scene.
