(”God is a spirit, and man His means of walking on the earth.”)
That caught my eye. I cannot understand the almost overwhelming desire of people to relegate God to a blob of nothingness.
In the Old Testament, God says he walked around the camp of Israel at night, and cautioned to soldiers to make sure He did not see anything unseemly. He walked in the Garden, He walked with some of the ancients.
Jesus told his deciples that when they saw him, they saw the Father ( they looked similar).
I don’t have an anthropomorphized understanding of God. I believe that his presence actualizes the cosmos and there is only one substance that the cosmos consists of, which is God, and that time and form are illusions. I believe that God uses human sapience and the human senses to interact with the physical cosmos, and that our understanding of our own existence is God’s presence manifested within ourselves. Strange stuff, and not easy to explain, but there you are.
Interesting and true 👍
