The Muslims in their conquest of Northern Africa, took the women as sex slaves, sold the men to slave traders and the children to be sold as animals. The Muslim slave trade was most active in West Asia, North Africa, and Southeast Africa, and rough estimates place the number of black Africans enslaved in the twelve centuries prior to the 20th century at between 11.5 million to 15 million. Such slaves were brought to America to work the plantations.
And Islam continues to practice slavery to this day.
