This is a 50-state race, and I would suggest that RFK won’t have the funds to run in all fifty (1st problem). Second issue, in southern and midwest states, RFK won’t be able sell his ‘brand’ to typical Trump voters (including independents). I also don’t think Biden will be there...it’ll be Newsom that carries the campaign after the convention.
I would agree...no winner out of the Electoral College, and it goes to a state-by-state January 2025 vote in the House, and we might go to several weeks without a winner. VP? Settled on the first day of such voting in the Senate.
I would argue that the RFK is selling himself mostly to disgruntled democrats, and indecisive independents....maybe even to the youth/college voters. Electoral wins? Maybe five states at best.
If Biden dies before the convention, Harris will be the incumbent president, which will be her claim for the nomination.
RE: Electoral wins? Maybe five states at best.
Any loss of states for Trump would be a disaster. The solidly Dem states are ready now to vote Dem: CA, NY,IL,MA,OR WA,HI and many more locked in already.
