Y’all do understand that this money belongs to Iran? The agreement to release prisoners was NOT ransom. The US didn’t tap its own money to pay for the prisoner release.
They agreed to return money That Already Belongs To Iran.
It was arrogant to steal it to begin with.
Now, if you NEVER want to EVER have a prisoner deal with ANYONE every again, go ahead and renege on the deal, because that will be the consequence — for a lousy $6 billion that doesn’t even belong to you.
Give them the 6 billion and they will want more for the hostages they have now.
We should’ve told Iran that if they didn’t immediately release the hostages that we would flatten the entire leadership structure of the country through targeted strikes. Plain and simple. Then if that didn’t work, flatten the entire country.
