Like it matters. The republican’t party has been a cluster-**** for the past three decades, at least.
Whatever you think of the GOP for the past 30 years, at least when they had a majority they worked together as the party in power.
If they can’t come up with a compromise speaker then I predict two things: (1) moderate swing-district reps will approach Jeffries to form a power-sharing arrangement, (2) the Dems will ride a tidal wave in 2023.
And I’d rate the probability for a compromise a long shot.
