The result I expect is for this to turn into WWIII.

I see more FReepers concerned about Israel than the US and it disgusts me.
Drugs from Mexico kill more Americans than Hamas or Hezbollah ever will.
Lawless blacks kill more Americans than Hamas or Hezbollah ever will.
I wouldn’t care about Israel bombing Syria if it wasn’t going to pull the US in.

We learned nothing from Afghanistan and Iraq. It didn’t even phase militant Islam.
Globalism and immigration will destroy every decent country.
Killing a million, or ten, Muslims will just be a scratch.
Not allowing filth into one’s country, ever, is the beginning.
This is just going to get a shit ton of people on both sides killed and not even remotely change a thing.

I really wish that you would stick to the topic at hand. The topic is Israel and its actions in bombing the airports at Damascus and Aleppo, not US involvement.

I completely share all of your concerns about a third world war. However, I did not say a single word concerning US involvement in what is going on over in the Middle East right now. I am upset enough about our involvement in Ukraine, and our pushing to escalate that conflict, in opposition to a power that has 6000 nuclear weapons. I am not anxious to see a Third World war during my lifetime, and I do plan on living for at least another 20 or 30 years. I also have a 19-year-old son, and I’m not anxious to have him fight either Joe Biden’s war or a banker’s war, as so many tens of millions did during World War I and World War II.

However, it is my belief that we are already in World War III. The west in general, and the US in particular, have four main enemies: Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea. In my opinion, they are coordinating their actions so as to constantly be both diverting our attention, and making us draw down on our resources. The fact that we have an administration that is at best stupid, and at worst treasonous, does not help us. Round one, still ongoing, is the war in Ukraine. That has led to the drawdown of most of Europe’s stocks of various munitions, and a serious draw down on our stocks. Now we’re busy supplying Israel, because of what’s going on in that part of the world. I suspect that the next stage will be a Chinese invasion of Taiwan . We’re in it already, which anybody would see if they take a few steps backward and look at the entire forest instead of one or two trees here or there.

Again, I was simply addressing your statement that Israel had committed an act of war by bombing the airports in Damascus and Aleppo. No, they did not. Those airports have been used for many years to supply both Hamas and Hezbollah. You *might* have heard that Israel is currently embroiled in a rather brutal conflict with Hamas, and there are numerous people, including me, who have pointed out that Hezbollah is currently launching rockets and other ordnance at Israel’s North. For Israel to not bomb supply centers for their enemies is for them to invite more misery upon themselves. No sane nation embroiled in a war would do differently. Syria is the one, since it controls both airports and knows very well what cargo is landing and moving out (and protects on the way to Lebanon), which has committed an act of war - Israel is just responding.

Based on comments of yours that I have observed over quite some period of time, I like you and I agree with you the vast majority of the time. You’re just wrong on this issue. Please take a step back from your concern over US involvement in this entire mess in the Middle East for a moment, and look at the specifics of what is going on between Israel and its enemies. That is the topic of this particular thread. As I mentioned above, I really hope and pray that we can avoid getting involved in world war three, but I fear that were already involved. But that is a separate issue.
