I have never had a flu shot. As a child, I got it every so often, stayed at home, and recovered.
Now, as an older mature man, I very rarely get anything flu-like. I attribute it to a solid immune system combined with having been exposed to enough in my childhood, that there is a decent level of natural immunity.
I am not going to start taking shots now.
When I get sick, I get sick.
When I die, I die.
Preach it.
GOD is in charge of my life here on earth and it's HIS decision of when and how, not mine.
So far I've survived some things I never expected to and some of them in spite of the medical community's interference or best effort to kill me off.
