Is the Ford using those electronic catapults or still the old steam ones?
Combination of both. I was a ABH and steam cats doesn’t require as much maintenance as EMLs cats
USS FORD is deployed (obviously) in active service, using EMALS. Whether it’s working properly or not depends on whether you’re talking to people who are personally invested in its failure or personally invested in its success. We’ve seen that problem repeatedly for decades regarding new military technology. USS FORD’s current deployment will provide real data.
