Iran's Khamenei says Tehran was not behind Hamas attack on Israel (Iran scared?)

DUBAI, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Tehran was not involved in the militant Hamas group's weekend attack on Israel, Iran's top authority Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Tuesday, but hailed what he called Israel's "irreparable" military and intelligence defeat.

"We kiss the hands of those who planned the attack on the Zionist regime," said Khamenei, who was wearing a Palestinian scarf, in his first televised speech since the attack.

"This destructive earthquake (Hamas' attack) has destroyed some critical structures (in Israel) which will not be repaired easily ... The Zionist regime's own actions are to blame for this disaster," said Khamenei.

“Out of one side of his mouth, he says they didn’t plan it, but out of the other side of his mouth, he tells Iranians this is the begining of the Great Liberation operation Tehran has been planning for decades.”

****

That’s what I’m sayin’, what’s up with that?

Iran is in front of it, leading it from behind.

We could quietly take out Iranian all subs.

Also, pick off those gun boats instead of letting them take pot shots at us.

Just a ploy to cause disunity in the West.

It’s a public relations disaster for Teheran, even internally. When they displayed a Palestinian flag at a football (soccer in American) game in Teheran, the crowd chanted (a la “Fuck Joe Biden”) “Shove it up your ass”.

If Kelli Stavast had been there, she could have said, “Listen, they’re chanting ‘May Khamenei’s Tribe Increase!’ “

Same old stuff, to give some meat to the peace at any price crowd.
Iran would prefer any response be directed towards Gaza rather than those who put Hamas up to it.
Hopefully, the response will be towards the planners, who certainly aren’t in Gaza.

Iran is scared because the attack was probably much smaller in scale then what they planned. kept it secret and when lower level Hamas members were informed, word spread within the ranks outside of core group. It would be too irristable to not join in on the slaughter

Thats why they are scared, thought they were clever and sowed the seeds of Hamas destrcution

The Ayatollah isn’t scared. He knows Biden’s not going to do anything to Iran.
I’m watching Biden speak. Harris looks scared.
Now he’s telling one of his stories…..🙄

Did Biden ship him another 6 billion after the ayatollah denied involvement?

I think they’ve lost a lot of the western press, but even Trump supporters don’t care about the western press.

Internal and external propaganda don’t have to agree, if you control access to most information flowing into your country. Your citizens won’t likely catch on that your statements to the outside world are conflicting with what they hear on the nightly news.

I think “long war” is propaganda for both the internal and external. It’s the last thing the west wants, in Ukraine or Gaza.

Can’t afford it. Military and industrial supply chain not built for it.

The Iranian government has viewed itself at war with the United States and Israel since the revolution in 1979. A week ago Iran admitted they were involved in the 1983 Beirut bombing. Hamas has always been a Iranian proxy.

The 9/11 hijackers murdered 3,000. Israel just suffered the equivalent eight 9/11s all at once. The 9/11 hijackers did not call the families of their victims bragging about how they attacked, killed, kidnapped, tortured, raped, murdered, and defiled the corpses of their victims to their families.

It is far past a little too late to say the last 40 years to Saturday morning are ancient history.

I don’t think she expected anything like this to happen (well, none of us did), and got an ice cold bucket of reality dumped on her. I’ll bet she’s glad she’s not Biden right now….

One of the few times I have seen her and she’s not cackling or smiling.
A very serious look.
