More than 100 bodies found in Israeli kibbutz Be’eri after Hamas attack

More than 100 bodies have been found in the Israeli kibbutz Be’eri, as details gradually emerge of the horror that unfolded as Palestinian Hamas militants launched their deadly surprise attack.

Be’eri, a self-sustaining farming community of 1,000 residents near Gaza, was one of first places targeted by militants who breached the border early Saturday morning, and among the hardest hit.

Civilians were killed and taken hostage, according to Israeli authorities and videos obtained and authenticated by CNN.

Heavily armed militants arrived in Be’eri on motorbikes around 7 a.m., just half an hour after they breached the typically high-tech, tightly guarded border wall between Gaza and Israel, videos show.

A bloodbath followed. Footage shows militants pulling three bodies out of a car, before stealing the vehicle and driving north. The video, which first surfaced on Telegram, was taken by a surveillance camera in Be’eri. CNN has geolocated the video to an intersection in the northeastern part of the kibbutz.

Another video shows armed militants taking five Israeli civilians captive, with the bodies of four later seen lying on the ground nearby in another video verified by CNN.

Terrified residents told Israel’s Channel 12 television station that assailants went door to door, trying to break into their homes.

Of the 107 bodies discovered in the aftermath, most were of local residents of the kibbutz, though some were of Israeli security forces, a search and rescue spokesperson told CNN.

Traditionally agrarian, the kibbutzim (plural for kibbutz) were popular in the country’s early years, founded on ideals of communal living and agriculture. About 125,000 people live on them today, according to the Jewish Agency for Israel, and there are approximately 250 kibbutzim across Israel.

Are the citizens of Israel armed? Are they able to defend themselves? Maybe I’m missing something but I’ve read so many reports of the monsters attacking families but haven’t read one report of people, other than military, fighting back.

Israelis are living in the 21st century. Muslims live in the 7th century.

Israel is heavily gun controlled. Less than 2% of the population owns a firearm.

America is closer to 30%. The last estimate I saw, there were more firearms than people.

Israeli gun laws are quite strict.

Here is a link to explain them. From the link:

In other words, what are the accepted reasons for carrying a gun in Israel? The desire to a obtain a weapon for self-defense is not considered sufficient reason for obtaining a private firearms permit. In order to obtain the license, one must meet one of several criteria specified in the procedures. The criteria include those who live or work beyond the Green Line (the West Bank area or one of the few “communities entitled to weapons” within the Green Line), serve in the security forces (or the police, the Shin Bet, airport security, etc.) or who needs to carry a weapon in their line of work (a security guard, a tour guide, a certified farmer, an explosives carrier, a shooting instructor).

Interesting tidbit:

In 1990, the PM office of Israel referred to the Mossad as the “Israeli Secret Intelligence Service”.

It’s acronym? ISIS.

Israel is heavily gun controlled. Less than 2% of the population owns a firearm.

Wonder if that will now change.

The American stockpile of private arms is about 500 million.

The percent of adults who own guns is somewhere between 30% and 60%.

Only 1-2 people in 100 have a gun. If you are in the military, you can carry your weapon, but otherwise, you can obtain a permit to have 1 handgun & 50 bullets. To get another 50, you have to turn in the casings from the first 50. A handgun & 50 bullets won’t get you far against heavily armed Hamas.

The rules have been changed in the last couple of days to try to arm more people, but I haven’t seen the details.

Heavily armed Hamas militants on motorbikes breached the
high-tech, tightly-guarded border wall between Gaza and Israel.

There are a great many questions about this complex invasion operation requiring considerable resources that went totally under the radar.

A compilation of clips we've been allowed to see, show Hamas invaded southern Israel. First they bombed Israeli observation towers and weapons systems on the border, then fired hundreds of rockets, as terrorists on para-gliders flew over the border. Moments later, Hamas approached the border fence, blew up holes in it, and allowed hundreds of terrorists to infiltrate into Israel.

Yet an IDF spox says on Twitter: “I served in the Israeli Defense Force Gaza division during the 2014 Gaza war... Listen to me, and listen to me well: There’s no way in the world that anyone can approach the Israeli border without IDF knowing about it.”

Huh?

Americans need to be very sure we’re not being gaslighted to advance a hidden agenda.

Gee, and not one single house had an AR. These people were left defenseless by their own government.

That’s inexcusable.
