I don’t believe that is much of a reason. I believe they had info of credible threats months ago when they gained knowledge of the the imminent attack on Israel. They know they’re already here from several nations’ terror arms, as those nations have warned us their soldiers are here ready to retaliate on our soil.

In the scenario I described, it would take a little longer than an EMP because vehicles would continue to run until gas ran out, food could still get delivered for a short period of time, etc.
I give it a week before anarchy and Armageddon is reached.

You need a plan B in case something happens.
There are a lot more small towns than big cities, so ironically, you have safety in numbers. Also, 1 or 2 incidents like that would make it very hard for foreign looking types to stay under the radar.
I am not saying that an attack would be good, I am just saying that it would be felt more by those who let it happen, and that is as it should be.
A major power outage would affect everyone, but I would feel better being in a doublewide out in the boonies than in an apartment in the city.
That’s true, my point is if power was cut over a majority of the country, it would take a few days longer for anarchy and Armageddon to set in, considering the vehicles would still continue to work for a short period of time, until gasoline ran out, the cell phone network would continue to work, generators would continue until diesel ran out, etc...
If the power was cut via an EMP it would be chaos almost immediately because everything would be down including vehicles, etc..

I think people will be shocked by how quickly things fall apart. I think we are talking hours or even minutes, given the speed of social media, not days. The momentum that will keep some things running for a while will only get them off the starting blocks more quickly. I think an EMP that immediately disables everything might actually delay the chaos. It is all speculation. I hope we don’t get a chance to see how it goes, but it feels more and more like that will be inevitable.
I think you could be right, I think in the case of EMP, it would be Armageddon in 48-72 hours, because everything would stop immediately. If the power just went out and vehicles still ran, people could get home, food could be delivered for a short period of time, until the gas and diesel ran out.
