LOL you don’t know what you’re talking about. Persepolis was the name of the capital city of the Persian Achaemenid Empire which was burned down by Alexander the Great. The ruins are located close to the modern day city of Shiraz. Iranians revere their pre islamic heritage and history and the name Persepolis is very popular for sports teams, buildings, etc. You wanna find a Persian restaurant in the next town you visit? Try “Persepolis” first!

Oh, for God’s sake. You guys are so far out of control . . . .

Iran is Shiite. Hamas and Palestine (not the same thing) are Sunni. This whole story is that, and some tone deafness by their govt.

Sunnis and Shiites hate each other far more than they do Israel.

LOL. LOL. LOL. I’m aware of that history of Persia.
I stand by my assertion that the Iranians most likely to express an interest in and affinity with that history are not Shiite Muslims who run the place but rather one of Iran’s religious minorities such as the Zoroastrians. Honestly, do you really think that a significant cohort of Shiite muslims is rooting for Israel in this conflict?
Educate yourself on the religious diversity in that country...
